Large Atmospheric Tanks

Overview

Large atmospheric composite tanks are designed for bulk storage applications requiring large capacity and corrosion resistance. These tanks are typically used in water infrastructure, desalination plants, and industrial utility systems where large volumes of liquids must be stored safely and efficiently.
Manufactured using GRP composite construction with controlled structural laminates, these tanks offer high durability, long service life, and minimal maintenance requirements.

Applications

Very large atmospheric tanks are suitable for:

  • Municipal bulk water storage
  • Desalination plant storage systems
  • Industrial utility water storage
  • Chemical storage in large process facilities
  • Cooling water storage for power plants
  • Process liquid storage in industrial plants

Size & Operating Range

  • Capacity: 200 m³ to 2500 m³
  • Diameter: 5 m to 15 m
  • Design Temperature: 0°C to +60°C (Higher temperatures possible with special resin systems)
  • Design Pressure: Atmospheric to low pressure (<1 bar)

Material & Construction

  • Filament-wound or panel-molded Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP / GRV)
  • Isophthalic or vinyl ester corrosion-resistant liner
  • Structural laminate with controlled glass fiber reinforcement
  • UV-resistant external gelcoat for outdoor service

Material & Construction

  • Glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite
  • Filament-wound construction with controlled fiber orientation
